"I recently hired Li'l Ricky Blues for a special surprise wedding vow renewal party at my home. I pretty much called Rick and told him what I needed for entertainment, and he took care of everything.  The band arrived on time, set up, and waited quietly for my wife to come home. She walked down the aisle again as Rick played "The Wedding March" on his jazz guitar, and we renewed our vows before all our friends.
Then the party started - Li'l Ricky Blues played some great tunes at just the right level as we began to barbeque.  My guests really enjoyed the energy of the band.  One of the best things about the party was how great the band worked with all the little kids who were running around.  At the break Rick and Suzanne (Miss Minxie) talked to all the little ones.  When the band started again, they got all the kids together to sing some songs, and finished with a version of "The Hokey Pokey".

"What more can I say, but the crowd was overwhelmingly excited and absolutely LOVED the music performed by Li’l Ricky Blues. I scheduled a date and time with Rick Cittar to perform at our First Annual Block Party the last weekend of July 2010. Not knowing the participation level we would get from the surrounding neighborhood, we decided to go ahead and book the band as a thought that it would draw attention and excitement.

Well, from the minute I started to talk to Rick about the venue, he was always very professional and his attention to detail was amazing! I am always very leery about dealing with the entertainment industry as there are definitely many “Flaky ones” out there (and I have dealt with that before with other for hire entertainers). Rick and his band are definitely NOT one of those. Rick followed up with me several times, discussed the venue, the age group and told me what time they would be arriving. They were early, set up promptly and were ready to play when the guests began to arrive. They even had recorded background music during setup to fill the void and make it a nice atmosphere for all.

You have to understand what type of crowd we are dealing with here… My neighborhood ranges from families in their mid 20’s with children as young as 2 months old up to original homeowners in their late 80’s, with several baby boomers in between. So, finding a good fit of music for all involved is a difficult task. We ended up with over 120 people in attendance…. Rick and the band had such a great variety, that they even had my 2 ½ year old little girl in a trance that she pulled up a chair and listened to them for over 45 minutes without moving a muscle. It was so cute to watch. In addition, I NEVER hear one of the 80 year old neighbors complain one time that the music was either too loud or they didn’t like. Listening enjoyment was had by all!!! I truly think Li’l Ricky Blues has a knack at getting to know the crowd, and making their music fit in any environment. That is not an easy task! I was very impressed!

Since the party, several neighbors have requested their information and I have been glad to pass it on I will definitely recommend Li’l Ricky Blues to everyone I know throwing a party or event. Thank You for making the day a huge success!"
